If you are looking for a day out on the water, Whispering Reeds can offer you a variety of options.
Bittern is our newest Boat available for half day, full day, or short break hire. She is fully equipped with a kitchen, toilet and shower. Bittern can sleep 2 quite comfortably and can carry up to 10 for a day trip. She is proving very popular so book early!
Self drive Motor launches allow you to explore This end of The Broads in comfort. Available to hire from 1 hour, to a day or more, seating 6 or 7 people, these can be hired 7 days a week from Easter to October.
If sailing is more your thing, why not take out one of our three traditional Broads half-deckers. Lovingly maintained on the yard, these beautiful boats are hugely popular. Each have their own characteristics, and regular customers soon pick a favourite. Hickling is the largest of the Broads and a renowned inland sailing water. We have a fleet of smaller Lugsail sailing dinghies too, perfect to recreate your coot club memories, or to take with you on your holiday for evening sailing trips.
For anglers, or those feeling energetic, we have a number of Rowing boats for hire. Special rates for overnight anglers are available.

Conditions of Hire
1. Hourly and daily hire will normally be available between 8.00am and 5.00pm except on Sundays when the starting time will be 9.00am. All boats must be returned to the boatyard at the end of the booked period. Failure to comply will result in extra charges being made.
2. Hire terms include VAT at 17.5% but may be altered without notice if external actions dictate, eg VAT or fuel price rises.
3. Craft on weekly hire will normally be available from 4pm on the day that hire commences, and must be returned to the boatyard by 10.00am on the day the hire period expires.
4. Fuel is included in the hire terms for all hourly and one day hires. For longer hire periods one full tank of fuel is included.
5. Broads Authority Regulations require the company to record the name and address of the hirer.
